FREE TRASH PICKUP ON SPRING CLEANUP WEEK

The City of Paintsville has designated the week of April 22 thru April 26, 2013 as SPRING CLEANUP week which is in conjunction with PRIDE Spring Cleanup.

There will be free trash pickup during this week for all residential customers in Paintsville. No commercial pickups.

All items must be placed at the curb for pickup. No roofing or construction material will be allowed. Also, no paint, toxic materials or tires will be picked up. If you have large items or appliances to be picked up you will need to call Paintsville City Hall at 789-2600 to schedule a pickup.

Mayor Porter encourages all citizens to take PRIDE in their property and their neighborhood and use this opportunity to clean up the city.

Located between Paintsville Lake and Dewey Lake, Painstville serves as a center of commerce, banking, medicine, education, and law for a multi-county region and is a recreational haven appealing to the entire family. The town features such attractions as Paintsville Lake State Park, an 18-hole golf course, and Butcher Hollow, the rustic birthplace of "Queen of Country Music," Loretta Lynn. In early October, Paintsville hosts the Kentucky Apple Festival, which provides such festivities as a gospel sing, a 5-K run, clogging, arts and crafts, and even an old-fashioned costume contest.
